Rebecca van Gennip- Artist
Rebecca van Gennip (b.2001) is a Canadian alla-prima oil painter based in Georgina, Ontario. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Art Honours degree at Queen’s University, with a Major in Visual Art and a Minor in Art History in 2023.
Her paintings explore the experience of navigating loss through the domestic space of home through a lens of hope and growth. Home is a place that represents familiarity, allows vulnerability, and houses the fragility of life; reflected in her muted palette, delicate subject matter, and soulful glowing scenes.

Her Dutch heritage continues to inform her specialized "historical" style, genre, and subject matter, but reinvented in contemporary ways.
